You simply can’t go wrong with a trampoline park. This is family fun in Bakersfield with kids that adults will enjoy as well. They even have a “jousting” area, where you use long sticks to fight with another person until one of you knocks them down. But don’t worry, when you fall, you go on soft, fluffy padding! It’s like pillow fights to the extreme! There are special times for toddlers to go, and they also hold teen nights at a discounted rate. Youth under six are $12, otherwise, a jump pass is $17 for an hour or $27 for two hours. With a foam pit, trampolines everywhere you look, dodgeball, and more, you’ll be sad when your jump time runs out.

Central Park at Mill Creek – Safest walking trails for families

This is the only park in downtown Bakersfield, and people make good use out of it. It’s a linear green space with running trails that goes along Kern Island Canal. This is a Bakersfield sight to see with kids just for the gorgeous water alone. But, there is also a playground and plenty of safe trails where you can take a family walk. It was recently renovated, so the playground and much of the grounds are new. Every Tuesday, they hold a farmer’s market here, and it’s grown to be one of the largest in the area. Go grab some fresh produce and allow your children to play afterward.

This is one of the most fun things for kids in Bakersfield. The aquatic center has a lap swimming pool, a toddler pool, and a splash pad with tons of sculptures and attractions that spray water. When the heat of summer comes through, this is a popular attraction for kids in Bakersfield to visit. Jastro Park is one of the best free activities for kids in Bakersfield. With a huge splash park, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a playground, your youngsters will be entertained all day long! There are picnic benches for adults to sit on, places to eat your lunch, and it’s truly an area for all ages thanks to other teens always starting a game of basketball. The only downside to this family-friendly Bakersfield attraction is that it can get pretty crowded on the weekends if you want to play basketball. However, people are usually pretty good at rotating in, so if you have a teenager who loves to play the game, they’ll enjoy the competition here.
