Broadway Christian Church, or BCC, loves to enjoy worship through music. With an obvious goal to have something for everyone and every religion, they have two types of service. “Our classic services sing hymns and classic spiritual songs accompanied by piano, guitars and drums. In the modern service, we utilize a full band with guitars, keyboards and drums, and we sing modern songs. The message is the same at each service.” Trying to actively avoid boring scripture reading that can put people to sleep, BCC prides themselves on having exciting and cooperative worship through song interwoven throughout their sermon hour. BCC has a really impressive web presence and makes navigating their website a fun and interactive experience as they understand technology is a good way to reach the future generation of devout believers. Calvary Baptist Church – Bible Based Evangelism
Calvary Baptist Church is taylormade for the modern Baptist. Though they’re an independent Baptist church in Mesa, The Arizona Association of Regular Baptist Churches is an association of like-minded churches with whom they fellowship. The AARBC is a voluntary association of independent Baptist Churches that hold to the fundamentals of the faith and work together. They aim for a youthful congregation and their two Pastors, Swope and England, are both more youthful than many Baptist Pastors in the area. You can review their published articles of faith to have a better understanding of their beliefs, but they’re pretty traditional in everything except for the modernization of sermon and scripture reading.

Saint Luke Lutheran Church – Focus on Building Your Life & Faith
Saint Luke’s is an interesting contrast to the aforementioned Victory Lutheran Church. Where Victory places focus on trying to convert and spread the word of God, Saint Luke’s Lutheran church in Mesa seems to place focus on trying to make your relationship with God the best it can be. They openly welcome skeptics without trying to pressure or guilt trip anybody who would rather use their media page to try to build a relationship with God. Sermons are based around the fact that religion is complicated and faith is finicky and difficult to navigate at different stages in life. Their staff is composed of a slew of believers hitting a number of different age demographics. As far as Lutheran churches go, Saint Luke’s is a very understanding and welcoming one. They have an app for your smartphone if you’re hesitant about attending right away.
